REEL Art Film Festival, Campbell River BC

How A People Live will be featured at the Reel Art Film Festival in Campbell River Saturday, October 15th at the Tidemark Theatre at 3:30 pm. This moving documentary follows the cultural history and survival of the Gwa'sala and ‘Nakwaxda'xw First Nations who were forcibly relocated from their traditional homelands to Tsulquate Reserve in 1964. The film's producer, Catrina Longmuir, and Colleen Hemphill, Chief Negotiator for the Gwa'sala-‘Nakwaxda'xw Nations will be present for discussion. How A People Live is directed by Lisa Jackson and will be preceded by two of her short films, SAVAGE and Suckerfish.
